The Central California Fast Pitch Softball Legacy Project is composed of fast pitch softball players who participated in this great sport during the 1940s, ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s in Central California. During this time the game was at the height of its popularity.
There were many great teams and players. Four teams won world championships, forty players made the All-World Team, and twelve players were enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
The game was so popular most valley towns had a team and 500 teams with over 7,000 players participated in the Fresno Recreation Leagues.
