Mary Balentine, the spouse of one of our founding members Glenn Balentine, passed away on 11/15/2023. Mary played a significant role in the production of the Central California Fast Pitch Softball Legacy Project’s video as her video was used for the background scenes. Her video, taken in 1963, is the only one in existence taken of a fast pitch softball game in the 1940’s 50’s, 60’s or 70’s. It is priceless. We are forever grateful for Mary’s very important contribution.

Reunion – Fowler High School Teammates
President Dan Ramirez reunites with fellow ballplayers from Fowler High’s baseball team (1954-1958). Dan also had the opportunity to share with his teammates the history of fastpitch softball and the goals of our organization.

“Preserve and Promote”
The mission of our group is to preserve and promote the historical roots of fast pitch softball in Central California. Through our Community Relations Plan of Action which involves contacting newspaper organizations and participating in community events, we will continue to meet our mission statement. Here at Old Town Clovis, CA for Glorious Junk Days. We set up a stand with some bats, gloves, scorecards, and pictures. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, picked up a flier, and more importantly shared your memories of the game with us.
Launching our Website
Thank you to all the members that joined us on this next step to “preserve and promote fast pitch softball.” Special thanks to the crew from Valley PBS for joining us on this special day and recording our story for all Valley viewers to experience.
